FAQ
Bet persistence types
There are two types of bet persistence:
• Lapse – the unmatched bet will be cancelled if the market is suspended (when it goes live or when it’s suspended for any reason, like goals);
• Keep – the bet will not be cancelled if the market is suspended, also known as keep in play.
Note that Keep is not available in exclusively pre-live events, only in those going live.
You can alternate between Lapse and Keep persistence in the collapsible options menu, available in all market views (grid, ladder, multibet, chart and all markets).
In all market views, except in the ladder view*:
- 1. choose the bet persistence type;
- 2. place a bet;
- 3. check the background color in the unmatched bets list (grey means lapse and yellow means keep).
In these views, once the bet is placed the bet persistence type can’t be changed. To do so you need to cancel that bet and place a new one with the desired bet persistence type.
* In the ladder view, changing the bet persistence type in the Options collapsible menu doesn’t affect bets placed in the ladder.
Remember that you need to change the bet persistence type before placing a bet. So, if you wish to place 2 bets with different bet persistence types, just change it before placing each bet, as in the following example, with the first bet in Keep and the second in Lapse.
In the ladder view, changing the bet persistence type in the Options collapsible menu doesn’t affect bets placed in the ladder.
To change the bet persistence type in this view you can use the Lapse/Keep switch at the top of the column (1.). It’s even possible to have a persistence type for Back bets and another for LAY bets, if you have My Back and My Lay Stakes columns visible.
Note that if the switch reads Keep, bets will be placed in this bet persistence type, likewise, if it reads Lapse, bets will be placed with a Lapse persistence type.
Unlike the other market views, in the ladder view, if you change the bet persistence type in the switch that change will also affect unmatched bets placed previously. So, if you change the bet persistence to Lapse, all unmatched bets and the bets you place from that moment on will be set with this bet persistence type.
